Our MDO program is unlike any other! During their time at MDO, students will attend our 45 minute Tots-N-Tunes Music Appreciation Class daily!

Each week is based on an exciting weekly theme that is explored through live music and creative movement in a variety of ways. We blend live music, creative movement, musical games, puppets, songs, and much more. Drumming Dinosaurs, Percussion Party, Mardi Gras Mambo, Gingerbread Man on the Grand Staff, Fairytales and Fables, and Monet’s Garden are just a few examples of our fun and exciting themes! Each student will receive at least three percussion and/or wind instruments per semester.

Owner and Director, Leslie Domingues, began the Tots-N-Tunes program 25 years ago and it has blossomed into a wonderful program with loving, caring teachers with impressive tenure. We have preschool teachers that have been with us 6 years, 11 years, 12 years, 13 years, and even 21 years! A team of trusted, loving, happy teachers is most important to us here at Northlake Academy of Music, along with safety.

During their time at MDO, they will be exposed to music and arts, a letter of the week, academic learning (including numbers) and a musical message of the week. We will provide wholesome and yummy snacks at snack time (some of which they will make themselves). The students will also spend time outside in our beautiful fenced in yard, exploring our musical wall, outside Montessori activities, herb garden, and nature. Children will bring their own lunch.
